| February 17, 2012 Snowmobile Tourch light Parade: WHERE: Starting at Ramsy Lake Boat Launch TIME: 6:00pm We are urging all snowmobilers to join us on Friday Feb 17th on Ramsey Lake at 6pm. We will be meeting at the Ramsey Lake Boat Launch and participating in a snowmobile torch light parade. The Parade will snake across Ramsey Lake arriving at Moonlight Beach. At Moonlight Beach there will be live music from 7pm to 10pm and following the live music there will be a fireworks display at Moonlight Beach. The Snowmobile torch light parade will be the kick off to the Sudbury Winter Fest Carnival and The Big Deal. |
February 18, 2012 The Big Deal: WHERE: Falconbridge Community Centre TIME: 8:00am The BIG DEAL is a special snowmobile event held in Sudbury, Ontario. Centered around a snowmobile Poker Run on the great trails of the Sudbury Trail Plan, followed by a dinner and evening concert featuring country music recording artist, Larry Berrio - it will be a full day of fun and entertainment. Hosted at the Falconbridge Community Centre, Feb. 18th, 2012, the event is supported by the Greater City of Sudbury and is geared to accommodate over 300 snowmobilers. In addition to the Poker Run, the BIG DEAL will also offer the community a mix of fun, interactive games and special attraction displays, while offering snowmobile and ATV rides to the public and the children from Big Brothers and Big Sisters. Embracing the community needs, collectively, the event will also serve to help raise funds and awareness for the Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Greater Sudbury and the Sudbury Trail Plan. Win a new Phantom mid-sized snowmobile as the grand prize for the Big Deal. It has a retail value of $4995. And will be custom logoed as a one of a kind BIG DEAL sled!!! We will have six Phantom snowmobiles at the Sudbury Winterfest for demo rides for young snowmobilers that have graduated the OSFC training program and possess an Motorized Snow Vehicle Operators Permit.
